I have looked at several senior living communities before my interview with the Conservatory. My host was Tricia Lohbeck. Tricia is very personable, Knowledgeable, and thorough. She was very likable from the start. I was impressed with the tour. First of all, she seemed to know every resident that we passed. The Conservatory is very well kept and clean. Residents were very friendly and introduced themselves without as prompt. I was looking for a 2 bedroom and 2 bath apartment. Tricia said they had one available and took me right to it. The apartment is spacious and the layout is very functional. The list of amenities is quite long. The cost is reasonable, especially when you consider the high standard of the facility. The dinning facility is well laid out, and the meals are well planned and excellent. Tricia , the staff, and residents have made me feel welcomed. I highly recommend The Conservatory At North Austin. I am now a resident and call it home.

I've lived at the Conservatory at North Austin for over six years. The reason I chose to move here was to have more opportunities to be with other people. As I've aged, though, I find that all the other services provided have become more important to me and allow me to live independently. I learned to line dance (wear braces and use a cane due to disability) and it brings me such joy!

Overall good lifestyle. Better if so many walkers and wheelchairs were not admitted. If a resident is in good health when they come, but health snd physical abiiities decline AFTER becoming a resident it is acceptable. But moving in someone who already needs special care is not.

I've lived here for 7 years so you know I really like it at the Conservatory. Moving here was one of the best decision I've made. However, during the pandemic and Snowmagedon in Texas, I've been even more impressed. The staff kept us healthy during the pandemic. Activities were planned that we could participate in without endangering our health but keeping us active and involved. During the power shut down, the leadership made sure we had water and food. They went above and beyond what I would ever have guessed to keep us safe. This is my home. I'm surrounded by nice people, and the staff is wonderfully friendly and competent. I cannot recommend this too highly.

I had never given any thought to selling my home and moving to an apartment. However, after my husband died and I found myself becoming somewhat isolated and more than a bit overwhelmed by house and yard maintenance, I began visiting senior living facilities in the area. My principal concerns in my search were that I not move into some kind of institution and that I not greatly increase my living expenses. When I visited the Conservatory at North Austin I was immediately impressed by the decor, the layout of the apartments, the library, the theater, and especially by the large, heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. Rather than having an “institutional” feel, I found this senior adult community both attractive and inviting. As for the cost of living here, when I factored all the expenses I would no longer have, I found the rent within my budget. Especially appealing is that the Conservatory guarantees no increase in rent for three years.I have lived here for over three years. Since becoming a resident, I find I keep active and involved because there are so many varied activities and events. I am delighted that I no longer have to cook; meals are abundant, attractive, and delicious. I am pampered with weekly house cleaning and maintenance service that is always available. I find my car is not necessary because the Conservatory provides transportation to stores, markets, banks, and local medical appointments. And when I need medical assistance at home, I can call on a nurse practitioner who makes house calls as well as a home health care agency that is conveniently located on the premises.I realize now that what I was looking for all along was a place where I feel welcome, comfortable, and safe. For me, the Conservatory is exactly where I need to be.Helen Smith

My mom has lived at The Conservatory at Wells Branch for 6 years and absolutely loves life there. In fact, I'm having trouble enticing her to move closer to me because no other facility measures up to the high standard set by the Conservatory in Austin. Giving up your house does NOT mean giving up your independence and my mother's lifestyle is proof positive. She has made so many friends, enjoys the trips & meeting for lunch everyday with her close friends. The food is excellent and, of course, she is eating a much healthier, balanced diet than when she was living alone. Leaving behind the worries and expense of maintaining her own home has allowed her to more fully enjoy her life and leisure time. I am happy because she is so happy!

My father is a resident here. The value is great for the standard of living. The activities are plentiful. Transportation is available for just about anything you need. The food is great and the staff is extremely at tentative. The emergency response button included in the facility is great. It's very tough when you have to move your parent from their home and into a facility like this. Having a good facility does not take away the pain and discomfort from the disconnect from all you have known but it does go a long way to helping the situation be bearable.

This is the only "old folks" home I have ever been in that did not depress me. It is a fantasitc place for older active people. I am super impressed with this place.
